Mixed auction lot

At a recent auction the seme here caught my eye (well, that's what I think it is), and since the whole lot (all four items) went for nothing much at all, I thought it would be worth the gamble. 54cm long, somewhat hollow-ground.

I'm guessing the dagger (Khanjar or jambiya?) as well as the bottom two things (whatever they are) are all "made for tourist", but I'm mostly fumbling in the dark here.

Hello Kisak,

since nobody respond to your thread I try to give a judgment but please take it carefully since all items are not my area of collecting.

The jambiya in up look indeed very recent and my guess is that it is indeed for those who travel.
The two items in down are maybe from Thailand and are for sure for those who travel.
Only the seme in the middle seems to have some quality but seems as well very recent.

The Jambiya's hilt is the clue. It is the same style of construction as a range of knives made for tourists/export in India.

The Large blade under it is a Maasai Semi.

The sword and knife with the carved handles/scabbards and aluminum fittings are, indeed, recently made in Thailand for the tourist market.

The carvings can often be quite well done. Everything else is invariably worthless except as decorative items. I have never seen a heat-treated or forged blade on one of these. Usually just sheet metal cut and ground to shape.
