Silver is a snap to work with .
I should have qualified that statement a little ; work such as this is fairly easy ; when I was a kid we all made rings from silver quarters ; lots of tapping on the edge and after a few hours , drill out the center and file smooth .

Now repousse and engraving etc. that's a whole 'nother ball game .
