Hi Tim,
is this it ? ...'cutting edge' special effects of the time :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YbXxZbi7_g

Or another classic, Jason and the Argonauts....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yYeZ...=related<br />

Another 'golden oldie' Atlantia (to go with Scaramouche), the Tasmanian Devil himself, Errol Flynn....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIoQVKUcP28

A 'modern' futuristic fight scenario....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBNtU4gm4PE

Regards David

Darn it, you're taking all my best choices.

One of my favorites that hasn't been posted yet is the Ziyi Zhang vs. Michelle Yeoh fight in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

i like the battle scene at the beginning of 'gladiator' even tho they did computer enhance the archery and artillery, they should have used pilums (pilii?) just before contact with the barbarians tho i guess health and safety thought they'd be too dangerous. the battle broke up into a general melee a bit too soon too.

Battle Linky

i especially get a kick out of the scenes just before the battle as the german leader hold up the roman head with the sound track from 'zulu' in the background ('Zulu' is another favourite of mine, limited sword action but iklwas make up for it)

the fight in the colosseum is pretty cool

Colosseum Linky

p.s. - if you include TV series/made for TV movies, the Sharpe series has everything, swords, bayonets, cavalry, ethnographic weapons, muskets, spontoons, cannon, duels, battles, seiges, and more.

Synopsis Linky: O'er the hills and far away...

How about Jet Li and an Niuweidao Oxtail? Fighting holding a sword with his feet?

Dammit, now I've got "O'er the hills and far away" stuck in my head. It's an earworm. Thanks Kronckew Great choice otherwise.
