yataghan inscription 2 translation please

Hallo,
Here is a short yataghan sword (or a long yataghan dagger) I would be gratefull for the translation of the inscription.

The inscription is:

Ya Muhammed kıl şefa'at
Ümmetindir (dendir) Mahmud

O Muhammed! intercede on the day of Judgement on the behalf of
Mahmud, who is one of your Ummah (community of believers).
