Going by the scabbard, which appears to have a single belt ring, this sword is based around a late 19th- to early 20th-century blade. As Will notes, most likely German.
However, the grip material and backstrap look like something that came off a British sword. To compound this impression, the ball on the pommel doesn't follow the line of the grip properly; it looks misplaced. If you are looking for a Regency-era sword, and this was sold as one, I'd recommend taking it back. |
