This khyber knife which has a handle wrapped in chased silver was labeled as Indian, but faceted bolsters are commonly found on Afghan khyber knives, and the chased motif resembles motifs found on Afghan silver chapes. That why I believe it’s Afghan but I’d like some input

Waoww ! Lovely piece, congratulations !!
afghan origin seems correct for the blade, is it made of wootz ? Really not sure the silver mounts and hilt were made in Afghanistan,. Any stamps or mark on the scabbard or hilt ? |

The ornaments on the handle and on the scabbard are typically North Indian (today it is Northern Pakistan). The dagger is probably a custom order of the rich Afghan person executed in North India...
