Maybe it has something to do with the name of the hilt, "patah tiga"?

Is this a "patah tiga" hilt? Or is it "kerdas"? Or are they the same? I believe the name "patah tiga" is more likely because the shape of the hilt involves bends or "breaks" in the form that divide the hilt into three segments.
