Agree with everything Maurice has stated! Nice one! And yes, this style is known. I would name it pedang. I just would rub the blade with WD40 and let it dry, then give it some oil. Very nice one, I like it. Have you tested the fittings for silver?

yes they are indeed silver I first cleaned well the guard and the scabbard mounts who were darkened ( didn't take pics of before/after ) They easily became shiny again, they are of course non-magnetic ? ( magnet test...) and for the guard , I placed a little silver reagent on it Because I wasn't 1000% sure ( w ebay...👍 ![]() Kind regards |

Could this be one of these one, with Western Military style fittings and pamor blades were part of the palace guard's ceremonial uniforms at many kraton during the late colonial period (1850-1940 or so).
