Good job on the cleaning. What chemicals and process did you use to clean the silver inscription?

That mostly does the trick; it do it with all my yataghans. In this case I only used the gum 5 minutes and the result you can see clearly Additional I do use some vaseline to loosen the "black" between the letters ; if it is dirt, the vaseline will loosen it and after a couple of hours or the next day, you can rub it off easily with cotton wool or a piece of cloth. This does not have a negative impact on the gold and blade It also leaves a very thin protective layer. Also on the metal decoration between the bone or ivory grip, I use vaseline first as it mostly works there as well. If it is still too dirty, I use a little acetone as third option, also for the bichaqs.
