Hi Norman , I have found a very similar knife illustrated in I*XL however I would need more details from you to be sure . Does your address include 'England' in it after Sheffield ? Yours appears to have been re profiled as the illustrated knife has a blade length of nearly 11 inches. Is your guard German silver or brass ?
Let me know and I will get back to you . |

Hi,
England is in the address after Sheffield on the blade. I have found a few similar Wostenholm blades on the net but no indication as to when they were manufactured. The total length of the knife is a bit over 15 inches so the blade length you mentioned would tally. I think the guard is brass. B.t.w the knife isn't mine so I'm afraid I can't give you absolutes re the specs. Thanks again for you help. My Regards, Norman. Last edited by Norman McCormick; 15th October 2021 at 01:29 PM. |

Hi,
I found a Wostenholm catalogue page from the late 19thC which shows the one you posted, third from the left, but not the one I posted. I think this would put mine well into the 20thC so I guess not within the scope of this Forum. Thanks once again for all your help. My Regards, Norman.
