What awful pictures and background to make judgement on this piece. A stòne axe is pretty much of the same form the world over. One would tend to assume this sort thing most likely to be from PNG or there about. However the absence of the most common materials at hand, plant fibre bindings and the cord based technology of PNG. I dare to say that this piece could be from South America. If you explore and search the AMNH data base. You might see the possibility of a South American origin.
