You did fine on the price and it looks about 100 +/- years old, maybe a little older. Fortunately it is disassembled so you can clean it completely. I would suggest a good polish and etch (you may be surprised by the pattern), then off to Battara for a nice kakatua hilt and cord wrap. Some rattan strips around the scabbard would look pretty sharp too. Ian. |
