Ariel I think that is reasonable for now.
And the scabbard could also be brass or bronze. I do think the hilt is very recent. Again I'm with Ariel so far on it being a composite with Indian parts. |

I agree with the Indian origin but I believe that, it is not older than 20 century. From what I see, the blade appeart to be a modern attempt to replicate wootz.

Ok i'll play with you too.
Old blade end of 19th c. and wootz Scabbard 20th c. early tourist object 1900. Hilt late 20th. c. All from India.
