Lew,

Old or not so old, I think it's a fine specimen. Congratulations.

When you receive the piece, could you take a picture of the small wooden object which hangs from the handle ? It looks interesting. I have never seen a Poto knife with a similar fetish.

Because the fetish bag looks newer, this doesn't mean that the sword itself isn't older. All depends where it has been during the last couple of decades. I once had similar sword on which the bag had lost its hair at one side. It had been hanging in a collection for quite some years and by rubbing against the wall the hair was lost. The other side looked fine.

So wait and see.
