Not to take away from this board (which I love and have been on for years), but for Japanese items, you might get more responses from the Nihonto Messge Board at: http://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/index.php They have lots of very knowledgeable folks; some specialize in teppo, others in different types of Japanese artifacts besides swords.
