There is no short-cut to remove the rust around the gold work, just a steady hand, and small pieces of wire wool or emery paper with a lubricant wd40 etc.
Perhaps even cover over the gold-work with some sticky tape cut to shape. A desktop magnifier with a light may help to get in close to the gold-work. Hope that helps, Runjeet |
