Hello David, and thank you. My reasons for acquiring this are for the exact reasons you mentioned. And yes, the blade is very sharp which the laceration on one of my fingers can attest to from when I did the initial cleaning after its arrival.

You know, it may sound strange, but i always hold a blade in slightly higher esteem once it draws a bit of blood from me.
