Another ebay purchase. These two came together. The longest is 30" with a 23 3/4" blade. The shorter one is 28 1/4" with a 22 1/4" blade. The pommel identifies them as Tebu/Daza, but I can't determine the dates. The blades are unsharpened. There are markings on the blades, which I will post at a later date. Any info or theories about these weapons will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'd say mid 20th century or later Tebu style (I say style as my understanding is these can now be found being used by more than just the Tebu), these are still being made both for tourists and for regular use I believe.

YOUR TWO EXAMPLES ARE LONGER THAN WHAT IS NORMALLY SEEN. THEY ARE MORE SHORT SWORD THAN DAGGER THE DAGGERS BEING MUCH MORE COMMON. THE CONFIGURATION IS THE SAME FOR THE HANDLE AND BLADE BUT YOUR SCABBARDS LOOK DIFFERENT THAN MOST DAGGERS. A CLOSE UP OF THE SCABBARDS AND DESCRIPTION OF WHAT THEY ARE MADE OF WOULD BE INTERESTING. VERY NICE ITEMS
