Its an early 20th century British Indian Army mk.1 Pattern kukri. There quite sought after by collectors.
When dated the dates on the kukri I have seen are usualy between 1903 & 1915 although some scabbards were made at least as late as 1917. Its worth Checking the spine & scabbard for further marks. The blade markings probably imply use by the 2/8th Gurkha rifless as they have a penchant for marking thier kukris with soldiers & unit numbers. Spiral |
