			The pommel looks Prussian/German.  Does it have a hilt mortise lock for atachment to a rifle? If it doesn't , then it probably is a Prussian M1860 Infantry falchion. The blade of the 71'was thinner, and probably longer. Also, the scabbard probably belongs to an earlier model. (M1850). Best M Quote:
