According to the news it was sold by a few members from the Napoleon familiy. But it has been bought also by a member of the family

Funny, the sword remains in the family, the money remains in the family.
And auctionhouse Osenat gets about 25% OVER 6.4 Million USD

By the way, If I had that kind of cash, I would probably collect Napoleontic swords too
