UK Posts: 4,259	the scabbards sometimes had the swelled end on it (wranka or sampir on a keris), sometimes not. both types in the photo on the research site. the gangya on the blade looks like it was forged along with the blade which i undestand is usually mid 20th c. rather than 19th. still a pretty item. steve f. may have more info..... edited: i see he has commented.
