Default Fingers Crossed On Glue Failure

A. G. Maisey,
Yes, I’ve heard that CA glues have a tendency to let go over time but for me, the ability to glue without clamping and the lack of a glue line is just too tempting to pass up. I’ve been using Zap-a-gap for over five years now and haven’t had any problems. The packaging says that it is for fly tying, knotless line and leader connections, fishing glasses repair, and fishing rod repair, so hopefully, it is more rugged and long lived than the standard CA glues commonly sold. Time will tell. I checked out that Alteco CA on line. It looks like it is a cut above the standard CA also.

kino,
His color match is a bit better than mine but those transverse bars on the wranka stop at the patch. Thankfully, I didn’t have to deal with that.

Sincerely,
RobT
