			Alan, yes, it differs from Balinese Kekandikan for sure, as differ the Central Javanese forms. But I am absolutely positive, that the sheath form shown in #6, which you called a Kekandikan, is of the same form as the one in #11. My specimen as a whole was in Europe before 1850. The sheath parts belong together, and the sheath is original ensemble with the blade, which has sunken in a bit. It came together with the hilt, which has the same amount of patina, and likely is from the same region. Last edited by Gustav; 1st July 2025 at 11:33 AM. |
