Default Moro punal bronze guard?

I picked this 7" blade and ferrule/guard up very cheap since it looked like a good match to a punal I have that, at some point of history, had it's blade swapped out for a fake one. Great news is that the new blade fits the scabbard so planning to swap it over and toss the fake blade. However I'm not familiar with cast bronze guards on these. Does this indicate a particular period or place? I don't want to discard it if is significant.
