I too have recently received the latest Vol. II by Dmitri. As with his previously published books that I own of his works “Edged Weapons of Afghanistan” and “Arms and Armor of the Khanates” Vol. I, this book is at the same high-quality standard as the previous works just mentioned both in historical literature, professional photography and captioned descriptions. I was just able to briefly browse at this time but at 469 pages, it is an in depth read for the researcher or collector connoisseur. I too, with the above forum members recommend this book along with volume I if you have not placed an order yet. It certainly is a valuable reference on the topic and deserves a spotlight as others have already noted.
