Warangan treatment of an old Javanese blade?

Jean Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,740	Considering the excellent condition & thickness of the blade and the quality of the metal, has anyone an opinion why this blade was shortened? (purposely broken?). Unfortunately I have no clue about the history of this blade. Regards
