Hi Chregu,
I agree with David, the handle construction is very similar to the Moroccan shula. Then again, as we've seen in the past, there is a strong common Spanish link between the Maghreb, Latin America and even the Philippines, with similar weapon styles apparently stradling all three parts of the world.
