Here is a lovely, unique, and complete kora sword, likely from at least mid 19th century Nepal or N. India. The sword has a typically thick, heavy, and very sharp blade in its unique form. The hilt is built from an equally bulbous guard and pommel, both from painted wood with brass fittings. The grip is fabric-covered. The open spine slot scabbard is from wood completely covered in tooled leather. 27.5in.70cm. overall, with a 19.5in./49.5cm. blade.
