				 | Cameroon regions takouba

I don't typically purchase 19th century examples these days, but I've always enjoyed takouba from the Cameroon regions, nice hilt wraps and pommels usually. This is a shorter example with a native blade. Sharp, good flex, a nice little sword.

Good honest piece, Iain. I like the older-style pommel and primitive blade. Would the hilt have had a leather covering do you think ?

Nice sword, I like the short fuller which is reminiscent of earlier import blades.

The fuller on my example is actually quite shallow. | |
