Help With An Arabic Kindjal Inscription Please....

I am hoping one of our Arabic speakers will be kind enough to translate the inscription on the rear of the chape of this kindjal.

It reads,

Work of Rajab 12?8 Year
Owner Harsin Ibn Aslan Bek

The third digit does not appear to be a 2. It is likelier a reversed 6, giving a date of 1268 (1851/52,) which is more consistent with the form and decoration than an early 19th century date. Just above the inscription is a family mark or tamga.
