				 |  question about a Jimpul handle 
			
			This is the handle of a Jimpul. The design is different from what you would expect. I can't place the motifs on the handle either. Can someone tell me more about the motifs on this handle?

			Hoi Godfried, Iban can be pretty creative carvers - I don't see any details/motifs here that wouldn't be compatible with a genuine Iban origin. Nice piece, indeed. BTW, you already asked this question a good while ago...  Regards, Kai |

			It looks a lot like a dragon head. Is that a common theme on Iban swords?
