Ivory Hilted Earlier Gunong for Sale
Up for sale is this smaller and earlier gunong.
The double edged blade is engraved with Maranao(?) okir and a couple of lamination lines. The hilt is made of lower silver okir and filigree with a restored hippo ivory pommel (yes hippo ivory was traded in the region and even seen on some kris). Silver plated mounts cover parts of the narra wood scabbard. Overall length in the scabbard is 10 1/2 inches. Asking price: $360 USD (+shipping) Will accept PayPal or money order.
