Knife for ID
Hi all,
Here is a recent purchase. The seller thought that it is Indo-Persian in origin. Can anyone identify it? Thanks in advance. Brian |

I think the seller is right. It is a Pesh Kabz. Do you have a scabbard?
Maybe one of the forumites is able to translate what is written on the blade. |

.......I thought a Pesh Kabz had a pronounced T shaped spine to the blade?

Hi
in the collection of the castle Ingolstadt (Germany), a knife is issued. it is given as "Charay from the tribe of Afridi" (Hermann Historica, Dolche und Messer aus dem Persischen Kulturraum, picture 86) or it is a Choora, the knife of the Mashud. chregu |

Thank you for the replies.
I now have a translation of the inscription, which is great. I also now know that the knife is either a Pesh Kabz, a Charay or a Choora. All of the above is more than I knew before posting pics and asking for advice! Thanks heaps, guys. Brian |
