			Beautiful piece! I have not seen a disfigured mark like this before. Very interested to hear the thoughts/info on why this would have been done. Hard to tell from the pictures of course, but the haft looks like it has some age, and the langets are properly inset into it. Perhaps a very rare original haft? |

			Why a Mark is disguised i really dont know. Maybe it is Not brougth back from a Service to the Armory and it was so tried  traceability…
