In Turkish:
amel el-hacc ahmed sahib mustafa sene 1281 ya muhammad kıl şefaat ümmetindir ahmed Work of El-Hacc Ahmed, owner Mustafa. Year 1281 (1864-65). Intercede, O Muhammad, for the sake of Ahmed, who is from your community. |

A Turkish couplet:
ey gönül bir can içün her cana minnet eyleme işret-i dünya içün sultana minnet eyleme O heart, for the sake of one (i.e your own) life do not plead with every soul, For the pleasures of this world do not plead with a sultan. |
