Hi All
I picked this up the other day what was decribed as a knobkerrie but turns out to be a rarer Shilluk throwing club . Here is the link.http://cgi.ebay.com/A-Rare-19th-c-Zu...QQcmdZViewItem Also a link to a similar club in the PittRivers museum in Oxford. http://southernsudan.prm.ox.ac.uk/de...3.16.114_a.jpg Lew |

NICE ONE
,I HAD NOT SEEN THAT VARIATION. IT LOOKS LIKE YOU WOULD EITHER GET BONKED OR STABBED WHEN THEY THREW IT AT YOU DEPENDING ON WHICH END HIT. IT COULD ALSO BE USED TO STAB AND HIT IN CLOSE HAND TO HAND, AND WOULD ALSO WORK IF CONFRONTED BY A VAMPIRE

Hello Lew,
I'm nearly sure that you have a club from the Shilluk. The first club on my attached Shilluk group is very similar, only the size of the head is a little bit different. The length of mine is 18 3/4". Wolf |
