The scabbard is a restored one, where the back strip has been restored and 2 silver straps have been added to make sure the back of the scabbard stays in place.

Akar Bahar is a coral found in Indonesia. magic and healing powers are attrributed to this material.
The hilt is made of 2 pieces, connected probably by a metal pin as the hole hilt is very firm.
Age crack near the base of the hilt.
