			This is another sword from my grandfather's collection. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on origin, date/age etc. I recognise the passage wolf, the down turned quilling appears to maybe have initials or the like, but perhaps it is also nothing.

			Looks broadly right to me. Same features as I've seen on others and on mine; tightly wrapped leather grip, lenticular section blade, non ferrous pommel. I'm wondering if the downturned quillion has been accidentally bent the wrong way (instead of bending around the hilt). It appears to be one of the earlier types - first quarter of the C17th. My only concern is that the ears on the pommel are usually slightly more pronounced, but that shape isn't unknown. |

			For me it looks as if the material of the pommel and the rest of the hilt is of different colour and different surface, so the pommel could have been replaced later?
