				 | Yemeni Jambiya a new purchase.

Ordered online and arrived today, hooray! Just as described by the vendor, and no real issues. I would put it in the category of a genuine item reworked or adapted for later use, and possibly for those who travel. Mounts may be low grade or coin silver, hard to tell until it has a bit of tarnish on it. Vendors photo's but the piece in reality is no different. (Something that is not always the case, bigod). |

Hello, the dagger itself looks like an older one. The scabbard is probably added or repaired later. To me it's a nice piece. The handle could be rhino, can you make better pictures (also from above)? Regards Robin |

Yes I agree...looks to be a nice old piece. Even the silver? on the scabbard looks to be old...certainly not the usual thin white metal so often seen these days Stu |

Modern day southern KSA. Good piece, made of different parts, the chape and locket are Omani. They reuse older parts quite often. |

Thank you for that information. It explains the differences this has from the other Jambiya I have had, purportedly from the Yemen.
