Default Another Kukri for my collection.

I didn't set out to amass these iconic blades, but I kinda default to them when I see them at a decent price. This one was a little more money than I usually pay, and a little worse condition, but it rewards inspection. Still not sure whether it is a good quality Dehradun bazaar piece, or a very shabby well used quality item... but the Kaudi inclines me to the latter!

This is another fairly recent purchase and again of the type I refer to when I say Dehradun. probably bought in the bazaar during WW2 , a bit crude in forging and finish but with a well made belt frog, and of a size for a western hand.
Very shabby now but probably lived in a shed for the last half century or so.

I used to have a similar one, which got stolen in 85 with my puukko...
But I like these 2 very much due to their patina !
Both on the handle and as well on the leather scabbard; simply beautiful.
Have seen quite some, but there is a certain "warmth" coming from them.
This darkish patina color I do miss to see with a lot of handles/ grips
