			I love these. Looks like a pattern in the steel, it may be wootz.  The large bone(? ) finial is a variation I have not seen in other photos. The horn hilt is exceptionally intact.

			It looks like classical 19th century, but only when you have it in hand you can say with more certainty. 
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
	The blade may be wootz, fingers crossed. To me, the ivory chape is a later replacement and it was made for a different purpose.  |
