Default Bugis keris sajen?

I just got the notification that I've won this very unusual keris sajen by a German auction. It's 17 cm long. I was described as "small African dagger"!
What do you think?

I think I've never seen anything like it.

So we are already two! It was cheap and it seems not particularly old. But it seems to be a pamor blade. I am curious to hold it in my hands!

Regards,
Detlef

I don’t know what to think, but AFAIK keris sajen are not part of Bugis culture.

A rather recent jimat? I don't think it's for those who travel.

Laminated, yes, but it could have been made from an old tombak, or a pedang, or maybe even a keris.

Possible, who knows? By time it will receive a warangan, maybe it will shed some light on it.

It was very cheap so it's equal what it is, I'll keep it as curiosity.

Agreed.

Keris study is not all about royal level pieces.
