I feel very sorry for you, but you should know that we all have gone through this... and (hopefully not) may go through this again...

I remember, not so long ago, I paid a small fortune for a Chinese Dao of supposedly imperial connection, only to realise it is a cheap replica/fake. I managed to force a full refund from the seller via the eBay customer protection, but I had to pay a significant sum to have the sword appraised by an authorised expert. And that was a lucky instance.
There were a couple of other instances where I got my swords from some US auctions, only to realise they were replicas... and had no return/refund option. In the end, I managed to sell them as replicas/wall hangers for less than 1/10 of what I have paid.
