Hi,
Another one of many primitive and obscure daggers from the middle east. Very hard for me to say where it is from. It shows influences of Persian, Caucasian and Kurdish daggers, but it is a primitive, village made piece, probably from the 19th c. Without any real evidence, I would place its origins somewhere near the border of Northern Iraq and Turkey, including North East Syria, and North West Iran.
Unfortunately, the maker's marks on the blade have been worn out beyond recognition, but it appears to have been a good quality blade. This reminds me of another type of simple daggers that have a good quality, stamped blade - see pic., but otherwise, no real resemblance.
