Default Brass appliques

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your opinion.

You should not take too much into consideration the nasal guards, it is visibly later or even recent. It is certainly not original.
The mail aventail may be older or later. It is composite: it is connected to the helmet by butted rings. It's quite common.

1 - N° 1
At Chiswick Auctions 17 Mar 2015 Lot 338 was sold the same model as the first as "Ottoman style Middle East peakless Kulah Khud skull helmet, spear tip finial, shaped nose guard"

and another
By Rosebery's 28 octobre 2022 Lot 292 as "An Indo-Persian melon shaped steel helmet, possibly Sikh, India, mid-19th century, with twin frontal plume holders, noseguard with cusped medallions either end, with chain mail, 20cm. diam. " with a inconsistent reference.

2 - N°2
I couldn't find an exact example

3 - N° 3
An similar helmet was sold by Czerny's 14/12/2019 Lot 322

4 - we find some examples with stylized jamadhar (katar).
Lacy Scott 01/11/2021 Lot 225
Czerny's 24/03/2018 Lot 121

But I haven't found an example in books or museum catalogs.

Best regards,
