Or...given it's orgin (if it is Tibetan) it is also possible that the slight belly that is displayed on the blade is from removal from an even straighter starting point. Most of the Tibetan knives i have seen with this single fuller tend to be rather straight blades. Sometimes they have a bit of a drop point, but i don't recall seeing simple knives like this from that region with kukri style blades.
