A caliver or schützenrohr from c.1600 would generally be about 14mm to 17mm in calibre whilst a musket or Luntenschlossmuskete would be about 17mm to 21mm calibre.

Muskets are generally longer barrelled, about 120cm in length, whilst a caliver would be under 100cm in length.

With regard to weight a caliver would be generally be about 3kgs as opposed to muskets, which are usually between 5kg to 7kgs in weight.
