Unfortunately I have no knowledge of
- any original illustration from the Gothic period
- any photo of a doubtlessly original piece
- any existing piece that is undoubtedly original comprising barrel and stock
with a "wooden hook".
I will, however, ask Herr Rietsche about his reference and report to you.
