Are those dots brass, gold or red?
Not drawing any particular association, but concerning the 'thuggee' pickaxes I brought up on another thread, they typically were marked with seven red dots. Since nobody I know of has ever seen a thuggee axe, for some reason I used to think these might have been something like them.
